thanks for the logging and reception reports ;) but im just running well under a watt of power doing continuous testing.
low level modulation affords this ability to operate at very low levels of power without compromising the modulation level and allows real world testing at low power levels.
ive purchased new audio manipulating software in an effort to tweak and utilize as much amplitude modulation as possible with minimal distortion, maximum dynamic headroom, phase cancellation elimination and minimal compression but as anyone who is into this hobby as much as i am knows, its quite difficult to adjust and calibrate very good sound for AM with a bandwidth of 5Khz, tailoring this for weak reception but not overdoing it for strong reception, there is always a trade-off when dealing with AM broadcasting, when trying to squeeze as much flat response sound as possible into 5hz to 5Khz.
the testing is comprised of a remote SDR that is located 5 miles away from the transmission site, receiving the test transmission at a steady S3-4 simulating poor reception conditions with occasional noise and interference allowing me to calibrate and adjust the modulation as necessary.
as the saying goes, the better you can improve your modulation, sound and efficiency for AM, the better listeners will hear you during points of poor reception.
as i continue to test, the tektronix scope will record any thresholds crossed that i can correct later.
im quite the stickler for this  ;D

this is some really damn good audio manipulating software.

General Radio Discussion / Re: Standing up for pirate radio

so the constant speeches of doom, gloom and the apocalypse by ralph stair is the complete total opposite of hate a speech that would warrant having a radio station shut down, is very cynical in my opinion.
its OK to buy up all the airtime for every american short wave radio station and preach about how the end of the world is coming, how you are a sinner no matter what and to repent your sins, you should empty the contents of your bank and wallet to ralph stair's "coming of the apocalypse" organization.
yet, its not OK to publicly speak about your views and opinions even if it is considered hate speech or face the consequence of being shut down, fined and censored ?
yet, we are subjected to disturbing distorted images and hate speeches from ISIS and the taliban in the mainstream media.
we are subjected to hate speeches about our way of democracy, freedom, independence and religion in the US.
but its a crime, its illegal and its morally wrong to broadcast over radio waves the same information, in its pure raw form as the same it would be broadcast from a loudspeaker at a KKK rally convention or through the mainstream media we like to call the "news" and the internet.
why should radio waves not be afforded the same unrestricted luxury as other channels of media content currently available without restrictions ?
is it because the FCC and the government are still far behind in the times realizing that radio is no longer what was once considered the most popular and only channel of mainstream pertinent information that could be delivered to the people since the internet was conceived and continues to grow to what it is now ?
or is there something more "sinister" going on behind the scenes concerning radio that i would like to define as a subtle control of communism ?
as long as the big media conglomerates keep lining the pockets of the FCC, congress and the government, radio will never be equal and free as the world wide web is.
yes there is limited spectrum when it comes to radio but IP addresses are not infinite either.
