The RF Workbench / Radioberry Transmitter
« on: June 06, 2024, 2210 UTC »
I don't know if anyone else has any experience of the above device, but I was wondering if it could be used with a linear amp board and suitable LPF(s) to make an AM transmitter for broadcasting purposes? Would be interested to hear from anyone who has used the radioberry for AM TX and if they can recommend a linear amp circuit and filter board.

Can just about hear it in Bristol but very weak signal.  50w carrier or peak? I guess vertical will be better for longer distances with low angle radiation.

Has he changed his frequency then? Thought Radio Europe was on 6130kHz, good signal here in 6170.

Really strange signal, someone talking in short bursts periodically in a strange voice, not sure what language possibly Arabic but also French? Shanwick ATC has transmissions close to this but it's definitely not Shanwick. Sometimes nothing for a few minutes and then a few bursts.

When I was in Scotland last month in holiday I picked up Radio North when I was near to Glasgow. Is this a licenced station or a pirate? There's also a religious station I picked up on SW a while back can't remember the name I think that might be a pirate too?

Thanks Ray, is there any reason in particular why quite a few of the TXs for pirate/semi pirates are based in Ireland?
