Utility / KFS 12695.5

I'm hearing KFS calling CQ on 12695.5 Khz..good signal into Ontario.
What is the status of the station? Is it still handling traffic? It says it is listening on "hf ch2", but I have no idea where that might be.
Years back, there were news reports about it shutting down, the end of morse on HF etc..

Received a reply from Joe, owner/operator of the beacon..As I stated above, it is operated by VA3VCO, S/W of Ottawa. Homebrew transmitter and keyer..Antenna is a G5RV...

  "VCO/B FN15 AR"  I *think* it is run by VA3VCO Ferguson Falls Ontario..That location is south west of Ottawa..I'm hearing it at 3pm (1900z) on April 25..

Any one hearing odd digi on 27Mhz?..It is too fast for me to record, but I have heard it on 27440, 27660, and 27770. It is short, and very strong. It is like it is looking for a response, sort of like a handshaking thing.
I am in Ontario, about 75 miles NW of Toronto..

My old IC735 has provision for a separate receive antenna. Another way to do this, without getting a different radio, is using something like a MFJ1026, or the "QRM Eliminator"..The "noise" or sense antenna can be used for a different receive antenna. You turn off the gain on your main antenna, and crank up the gain on the sense antenna..works well..

[Anyone know what this cw transmission is? Keeps repeating "MENU" in slow code.
Heard Oct3/24 at 0235z. Strong signal into Ontario EN94

Big signal tonight (9pm-0100z) on 6783.42kc...Hard to believe it is just 10mW! I'm in EN94..not far (80miles) but still impressive!
