We're just having a little fun here, Pigmeat.  At least I think so, and hope so...  and anybody could walk in here and  use a common word without realizing exactly what they stepped in.  Hopefully that isn't their 'karma'.

That 'Seven Trees Radio' thing rather inspired me (thank you, Unknown Name!)--- I went right outside and roped one of the remaining trees to get a decent receiving antenna up again.  I've been using the half-assed remains of what the first pine tree took down, at a low height, wrong length and too close to the house, and it has kind of sucked-- even worse as it was still using the 300-ohm intended for transmitting as the feedline.  Think I'll use coax this time, hopefully help my noise situation.

LOL, already had 4 trees fall very close, one of which took out an antenna--there aren't seven left.  But "Touche".

Actually, I don't use trees anymore.

I mean, I don't use anything anymore...

Isn't this the same as what I recall reading about from the '90s?  Right along with the announced phone number and location...  the op was broadcasting from a group home of some sort.  It's in Andy Yoder's books...  (I thought it was 'The Voice of the Pig's Ear' but maybe that was something else)

What once was old is new again...

0242 Dick Weed:  "Never operate a pirate radio station when you are completely plastered, like I am now...  I'm setting a bad example.... Definitely not a role model for your children..."

S-5   "OK, I'm pushing the button now.  Goodbye."

Dammit, I just tuned in....

Something back up at 0248, is that Crosby Stills & Nash?  Sounds stronger than before...
and off again when the song finished.

Ah.  'Sinking Ship' -- that's me!

111
What's up with all that?

:D

Huh? / Re: A real "Inconvenient Truth"

Anyone keeping up with Killary's body count?  I've lost track.

She'd have a long way to go to catch up with Republican George W. Bush's hundreds of thousands,
or Nixon and Kissinger's millions...  (there's an "inconvenient truth" for ya!)

BTW-- Since Faux News won a court ruling which stated that nothing they broadcast has to actually be true, they aren't really a credible source for anything whatsoever...

SUNDAY is the last full day to order this stuff; the sale closes very early Sunday AM.

MANY THANKS to all who participated!  YOU ROCK!!!

General Radio Discussion / Re: Solar Minimum
« on: May 14, 2017, 1827 UTC »
I thought we were AT solar minimum already...
I really don't want to see any solar minimum any more minimum than we have now, sheesh.

I'll need a trailer to haul the loading coils for that long-wave antenna...

115
Hey, wait a minute--

Like, if we buy and wear and pray over one of these things,
and maybe rub it on our radios,

will the sunspots improve??

I'm about ready to try anything.

They all seem to go on and off a lot, sometimes off for days.

I use this site as a backup for current MUFs, although I do miss the graphs:

2245-  Soviet national anthem-- must be Radio Free Whatever
(or... The Crystal Ship.... but I'm pretty sure that isn't TCS)

Greetings Comrades!  Got ya S-6 in Lansing MI

Dickweed talking about his interval signal from 'Fletch' soundtrack
(I wasn't in time to hear that)

Really!

This wasn't expected, but there are already enough reservations/orders made for 'The Crystal Ship' items by people who missed the original promotion period to surpass the minimum required for printing, so the TCS T-shirts, mugs, sweatshirts, etc are available again through May 21st!

So.... if you missed the promotion before, or maybe you wanted other items but couldn't really afford to order them all at once--- here's your chance!  (God knows I want one of almost everything myself, and will be getting my own order in before it's over again.)

Order yours here:
https://teespring.com/tcs1

Don't worry, I won't be pushing this nearly as hard as last time, I figure most people who wanted them got theirs already-- but for the sake of the newbies and maybe a few laggards out there-- here's your second chance to own a piece of pirate radio history!

>>>> You FCC agents out there would look GREAT in one of these, at the next company picnic!
(The shirts, not the coffee mug... well... maybe... )

MANY THANKS AGAIN, to all of our loyal listeners who are already sporting TCS apparel and drinking java (and whatever else) out of TCS mugs!  Your help is much appreciated!

Reserve yours now!

2226 "Don't stand so close to me"  Either a different (live?) version by The Police, or a cover. Does sound like Sting.
2228 Jump- Van Halen

S-3 average in Lansing MI

Audio started coming in much stronger around 2300, but signal level stayed the same...
