Station frequencies still list 25800. There is an online stream to verify if desired, too.

Classic rock, soul, etc. music. ID at ~2337z. SINPO 25322 via the 31' vertical. Some very deep fading and the usual static crashing for my area this time of year, but a good sound when propogation cooperates.

About all I use it to do is for a quick check of MUF. Basically to get an idea of what the bands are going to look like for the next hour or few.

Strong delayed echo of China jamming on 15775. Could be ionospheric, both short and long path, or similar effect.

I keep meaning to check these out, but I do not spend much time checking tropical bands during the day here, at least during tropical weather season. Static crashing, static crashing, and did I mention static crashing? ;)

I assume most of these reports are ground wave or NVIS for your location.

Looking over my recent loggings in the shortwave section, I think my 31' vertical is back to working okay.

I *might* change out its ground radials if/when cooler weather arrives. Right now there are sixteen ~31' radials on the ground, but they are built with like "18-gauge" CCA speaker wire. The CCA seems to have held up to quick visual checks so far, but I have not run actual conductivity checks. I would prefer copper THHN or similar.

An alternative idea would be raising the vertical and using a couple or so elevated radials, though I am concerned it might have to be guyed unless I want to drop it each time a tropical weather system arrives.

Music with what sounds like an overlapping tone. I thought maybe two signals or interference as first, but I kind of doubt Radio Voz Missionaria from SA is strong enough to put dent in KCBS, so I will just log SIO 222 via the 31' vertical and proceed with the band scan.
