Just remember: don't look directly at the moon. You'll put your eye out.

How about if we wear a patch over one eye? The guys who previously wore glasses can swap the glasses out for monocles later and the guys who didn't need glasses to begin with can simply slide the patch over to the now damaged eye.

We'll all look way cool.

Missionaries love New Guinea, but this one sounds like they may have been buying time to reach Australia and NZ?

NBC on 3385 does have an after-sunrise peak. It lasts about 20 minutes here, unless I'm using a loop, which usually gives me 10-15 extra minutes.

I don't know if Bangla Betar still uses 4880, but when East New Britain has a good signal, it's always worth a try.

I guess that deal he offered Fansome to head up the North Korean Space Agency is on hold. Sorry Al.

BTW, is there any possibility JPL will rehire you after you left the doughnut and basketball on Mars?

Ok, now I am going to have to try this...

I wonder if you can roast your nuts in a microwave???   :P

Nope, too easy.

It's not meant to be completely comprehensive - it's a field that's constantly growing - but it's a good place to start if you want to research this topic. With the virtual death of new HF desktop receivers being made, this is the wave of the future

Mike

Come in off the ledge, Al. There are plenty of old regens for sale on the internet. You could shut down SDR's for miles around with a few of those.

Don't post things like that where Fansome can see them. You know he's going to try it.

Settle down, Al.

I wondered if one of them had died. One of the local College stations was playing a lot of Raiders more obscure music last night.

I'd forgot how much of Mark Lindsay's vocal style was taken from Mick Jagger.

Don't indulge his fantasies, Skip. He always runs away in a huff when confronted with reality, only to come back days later with snarky posts.

Remember the "Burrow Owl Incident" of last week and his little fit? Typical Al.

5771
Maybe Opryland doesn't want you on the premises, Al?

Roger Miller's "King Of The Road Motel" is across the highway. Stay there when you try to sneak into Opryland. You can even buy or rent a trailer there. You'll feel right at home.

More evidence that our society should never have abandoned the renewable, multifaceted resource that is whale oil.

What are the Japanese doing as we belabor this point? They're going on a whale hunt for "research purposes".

We need to close the whale oil gap with the Japanese, pronto.

5773
Exactly.

Alex Coles RT @CBSNews: Earlier, we inadvertently said Microsoft had introduced IOS 10. It was actually Windows 10. We regret the error

Al, you know the main duty of a network news announcer is to look pretty, have big hair, and be able to read phonetically spelled words on a teleprompter/ cue cards. A giant head can make up for some deficiencies (see Sean Hannity) as can shouting at the top of your lungs, (see Chris Berman/ Bill O' Reilly) but the ability to read phonetically is a must. Knowledge of the subject at hand is but a trifling matter.

If you've ever walked by a highly accredited School of Broadcast Journalism at a major university, you'll hear the students singing "I am hooked on phonics, 'cause phonics is hooked on me." at dawn and dusk.

It sounds like Cooper was on to us, Al.

He made a grave mistake when he moved into our late Brother Goldwater's bailiwick.
