« on: September 22, 2016, 1134 UTC »
4774.91   PERU. R. Tarma - Tarma, Junín. Nice pop song with Andean overtones at 1029, ID at 1021 with canned anncts and adverts. Fair signal on Sept 22.

4955   PERU. R. Cultural Amauta - Huanta. Noted a weak signal at 1037 with conversation. Not heard much in the past month and monitored in LSB to avoid some local heterodyne rubbish, Sept 22.

5980   PERU. R. Chaski - Urubamba, Cusco. Snippets of Andean influenced music heard from a weak signal at 1050, faded out by 1055, Sept. 22.

Not great signals from any of them, but nice to catch them as we come close to the end of the DX season here.

« on: September 15, 2016, 0459 UTC »
11645   MADAGASCAR. R. Dabanga - Talata-Volonondry. Definitely on this frequency at the moment (and not on 11650 as currently shown in the Aoki list), s/on 0430 with a fair signal. But much stronger here on 13800 via SM Galeria, Sept 15

Shortwave Broadcast / R. Nacional Brasilia via the Antarctic Path
« on: September 15, 2016, 0456 UTC »
6180   BRAZIL. R. Nacional Brasília - Brasília. Mainly talk but occasional songs at 2104 to past 2115. Fair reception this morning. This signal is via the Antarctic path and is typical of propagation on this band as we approach the southern hemisphere vernal equinox (on Sept 22). At this time of day, there is just enough daylight and darkness across the South Pole to allow for signals to propagate between Australia and Brazil.
