Haven't thought about it until you posted (oddly, I thought I heard it last summer, not 3.25 years ago).



0156Z 45444 S9 Bird calls with a cuckoo going strong. I vividly remember the cuckoo from the previous time I heard them.
0207Z Dropped from around -70 dBm to right into the noise (-90dBm). Weak carrier visible and no audio is heard. Station is gone for tonight.

While listening on the U Twente's WebSDR, also listening for a carrier on my radio, but never heard anything.

Oh man, I wanted to listen/watch this. My Dad texts me at 1629Z that it starts in one minute and on local TV. The problem- I was otherwise pre-occupied. And BBC HF reception usually poor at best. I didn't try today, but I should have. The HF radio was 1' away.

Dear BBC, can you send the U.S. your signal on the shortwaves? This very limited FM broadcast non-sense you have over here is just about useless. If the Greeks can pump out the Watts in the midst of their financial crisis to play Greek music...

Alas... what do I know.

I've got something here that on 15 MHz and some freqs higher that sounds like a sort of clicking noise. Turned the loop and it does decrease, but then get other noise.

In 2001 when I moved in, was quiet as a mouse. In 2016... RFI everywhere.


Dear FCC, please do something about this crap. I know you won't, but I ask anyway.


P.S. DSL at 20 Mbps? I have CL ADSL at 1.5Mbps down & 832kbps up. Can't win here. At all.

We used to have artwork at work of bees. Local artist painted a huge painting of bees a while back. Last year, the art was removed. We were told because "busy bees were demeaning." Well, those of us that sat by the bees saw the bees and never thought the art was demeaning in any way shape or form, until we were told they were demeaning to us.

We will never forget the bees.

Plus, that's a lot of honey from 5M bees. Honey is really delicious.
