6700.5 "HexY2k" Joshua Tree NP, daytime only, 100 mW to inv. vee,  first on-air 29 Dec. 1999

Cannot hear it at home this morning but it's coming in great on the KFS kiwis

Pretty good signal with some quick fades rolling through with the signal jumping between S9 and S7. Initially listened to some male singer belting out something that sounded very patriotic and orchestral. Then a female announcer in Korean who has been going on for a bit then some more music.

Hearing this on KFS SE right now, pretty strong. I don't know if it is new or if it is an old resurrected beacon such as these from our list

4097.1  Fast Ditter. New in 2021

4097.23 Fast Dasher called Madonna, 1/3 watt

Heard it very weak here in Colorado 4069.4 Khz at 1144 Utc.
First time I have listened for it.

Thanks for reporting on this one and bumping the thread. I try to listen for these new ones at home before resorting to the kiwi SDRs

I'm not sure if I've heard that one. The last active dasher+ beacon was UFO

4094.0  id's UFO TMP three times, after TMP two numbers are sent then back to dashes. On the air around Nov 2020

HF Beacons / Re: HIKER

Started hearing Hiker when I tuned in at 0130 utc,  S-3 to S-5 at times.

73, Mark

It seems to be very intermittent in operation plus being a weak signal down here adds to the difficulty.

The first page of this thread has a fairly detailed post about how it's built. I mainly catch it before sunrise and after sunset
