Alex in Ukraine identified that signal type from the waterfall screenshot  I sent to him.
That signal was in a Russian military system called CIS12, with a pack of 12 narrow data channels.
Not the same as the Stanag system, but when tuning across, it gives almost the same impression.

No idea about where it came from (Russia, Crimea, Syria...). Maybe another time if TDOA is used while the transmission lasts.

Thank you Alex for the help !

Interesting replies about the story of SW pirates in Ireland in the 80's and 90's. Jock Wilson telling how his Radio Stella station was relayed in Ireland from the same site that relayed Reflections Europe, and there was up to 7 TX in the same site. Long story via a link. Also photos, and comments about the transmitters.

He adds that now, he does not know from where Reflections Europe is transmitted, not even if it's from Ireland.

All that moved to the forum 'Pirate radio history' on this site.

QSLs Received / Re: A request to those posting QSL images
« on: April 24, 2019, 1422 UTC »
Attachments are now disabled. They consume huge amounts of disk space and slow things down.   If you wish to post an image, it's trivial to do so via imgur and other services. They let you post huge images, often without any (reasonable) size limits

For example:

1. Go to https://imgur.com
2. Click the New Post button
3. Paste your image into your browser window
4. Right click on the image URL
5. Paste the image URL into the message you are posting on the HFU, in between IMG tags.
6. You're done!

Something missing after step 3 : where do I find the image URL for step 4 ?

« on: April 24, 2019, 1345 UTC »
Trying to post a QSL from Recycle Radio, barely heard direct in Europe for first time.

Does not work, don't know what is wrong,
and lost my image once again in imgur, with no way to find it again.

Equipment / Re: Sell it all and get the Icom R8600?
« on: April 24, 2019, 1245 UTC »
The Icom R8600 has no numerical keyboard.
Is there a roundabout to enter frequency direct ?

I just saw bargain prices for used R-9500, one described as perfect state for €1600,
dating from 2010 (when the new price was around €12000 !).
