It took me almost an hour of listening to bits and pieces of audio from this station. Finally heard the address of the memorial at 0412z.
i know this is an old topic but ti thought i would add some info:
what they are using > http://www.theradiosource.com/products/information-station.htm
where they are located > http://www.theradiosource.com/images/flight-93-map-large.jpg
quote from a 2014 article taken from the internet:
Quote
"The two TIS stations will be located at Pennsylvania Turnpike facilities at Bedford (Exit 146) and Somerset (Exit 110), Pennsylvania, and will be managed remotely from Memorial administration offices at nearby Stoystown.

The winning bidder, Information Station Specialists of Zeeland, Michigan provided the project’s frequency coordination and will install the equipment at Turnpike facilities this fall. The company’s design allows Memorial staff to record, process and archive audio files at their offices and transfer completed programs to the stations via wireless/IP methodology. This will be the first time the agency has used wireless to manage an information radio system.

Procurement is being coordinated through the US Department of Transportation (Volpe Center) in Cambridge, Massachusetts."

playing OM unidentified music @ 0453 UTC - S7-9 - lots of fading
unusual frequency - 10Khz below CHU
edit 0500 UTC: i am dyslexic and tired, i meant 3320 Khz , not 3220 Khz  :P
0507 - up and down into the noise level at times
0511 - "hey man nice shot - filter"
0016 - faded out/off

averaging S4-5, peaking S7 at times - heard some evanescence songs at good sounding quality but over modulated and then went off at 1610
1620 - hearing more evanescence songs (audio is much better, not over modulated anymore) with another carrier playing "whippin post" from allman brothers then went off @ 1626 and now hearing just evanescence songs - both carriers averaging S7 with the occasional fades
1630 - now hearing another carrier mixing with the "evanescence - tourniquet" carrier playing unidentified music fading in/out.
lots of traffic today
1650 - i took a short reception report video @ 1650 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Li-vOf2X6sU
1718 - S7 carrier, briefly no audio, then "skin of my teeth - megadeth" then off @ 1721 (end of song)

Tuned frequency 6529 kHz USB, 6559 kHz USB, 6661 kHz USB, and 6712 kHz USB are all HFDL frequencies.  The pilot tones for each of these frequencies would be 1.44 kHz higher, or at 6530.44, 6560.44, 6662.44, and 6713.44 kHz.

T!
thanks!
i obtained the frequency by "zero-beating" in DSB, the 250mS carrier before modulation started which is why its different than what you posted, but you are correct, it was the pilot tone i was "zero-beating" to in DSB, not the actual frequency.
i also discovered at the same time you posted, this:
HFDL - High Frequency Data Link is an ACARS communications media used to exchange data such as Aeronautical Operational Control (AOC) messages, Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) messages and Automatic Dependent Surveillance (ADS) messages between aircraft end-systems and corresponding ground-based HFDL ground stations. Using the unique propagation characteristics of the HF spectrum, the ground stations provide data link communications to properly equipped aircraft operating anywhere in the world. The result, pilots can always communicate with someone on the ground.

is this ACARS or CPDLC data on HF for commercial aircraft ?
i can provide an SDR I/Q sample if you cannot receive this in the east coast of north america - im in NY.
thanks.

sounding very good in hampton bays NY
just wish there was a little more low end audio response on the sound, it seems to be cut off at 100Hz.
highs also seem to be cut off as well, about 3Khz max.
sounds like the rig being used is an old tube style transmitter since the frequency slowly creeps upward at about 10Hz every 10 minutes and the audio response is indicative of such otherwise, playing really great awesome music !
how about some Bob Seger ?
off @ 2318

i guess because im on the east coast (eastern long island, NY), im receiving those spanish boat guys at 6925 LSB way better at times wiping liquid radio out - would have no other choice but to zero beat at 6.925.150 USB to hear him.
can hear "ELO - sweet talking woman" @ 0036 but alot of selective fading going on.
now playing "styx - lady" @ 0037.
good audio and signal is fair about 10-15db over -55db noise floor

i barely hear any audio except the occasional disco beat sound.
got a fairly decent carrier (avg 14db over -54db, peaking @ 20db) but the audio is just ridiculously low.
edit @ 0434 UTC - is this some sort of beat loop or continuous dance rhythm song ? (googled "liquid radio" for more info but not sure if its the same thing)
edit @ 0438, 0447, 0449, 0450, 0451 UTC - bursts of OTH radar is killing this (its a conspiracy !)
