In recent months they will broadcast the same number sets and files for weeks or even months on end, then on some random date they'll transmit an entirely new set and repeat that for weeks or months.

Late start, got underway at about 1616z. FIRST PROGRESSION OF NUMBER SETS IN A LONG TIME, will have to check the logs to see when HM01 last operated normally to see how long.
EDIT: The last time HM01 transmitted a normal, progressed series of number sets from the previous days' sets, as opposed to either repeating them without progression or transmitting a completely new set of numbers and files, was 03 NOV 2018, after which those same numbers and files were repeated without variation until 14 JAN 2019.

Spy Numbers / V24 logs, February 2019
« on: February 01, 2019, 1603 UTC »
On 1st February, there was no transmission at the usual frequency/time of 6310 kHz AM at 1530 UTC. So more of a non-log in this case. I checked on the "soy sauce" kiwi SDR in Chiba, Japan and the KPH kiwi SDR at Point Reyes, California, along with my own Rx. No carrier or any other copyable phone transmission detected.

0125 Good signal here.
0133 signal now pretty poor. :(
0146 been listening on the KPH kiwi SDR on the coast of California. Good signal there.
0157 signal has come up well at KPH. :)
0206 back to my own rx, signal has improved to fair quality here, still some noise that it needs to overcome but hopefully it will do so.
0350 X-FM still going strong, signal has become poor to fair again here in Denver. Still fair strength but much clearer at KPH kiwi SDR.
0435 Redhat on the mic. Nice tuneage, sir.

Funny story about the band 999... My best friend was riding the bus with a friend of his back in the early 80s. He's wearing his 999 shirt. This is when the Satanic Panic was happening, so naturally someone on the bus asks if that shirt is 666 upside down. No, he answers, it's 999 right side up. Said with full "what kind of stupid question was that" attitude.

0500 I'm hanging them up for the night. Thanks for the show Mr. Redhat.

I copied this around 1645 UTC, having found it when I was scanning on my old Satellit 750. I switched over to my RSP2pro which you'll see in the video and checked at least one online SDR (one in Fort Collins, CO, on the kiwi network) to make sure it wasn't some weird spur or harmonic. It's driftiness and relative clarity on the waterfall makes me feel that it's neither, but you never know. Well, *I* never do anyway. :D

It sounds French, but I couldn't get a better SNR than what you hear on the video. It signed off at 1652z.

SDR recording catch. Signal was fair overall, some good peaks but enough noise not overcome to make things hard for my damaged ears to make out.

2333 Up with some a capella chorus it sounds like
2334 Switched suddenly to "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" Monty Python
2337 Spam Radio ID, said they were broadcasting live on 7385 kHz. Looks like a recording of an old pirate.
2338 Spot from "Randy McNally, CEO of Hormel" speaking about spam and Spam Radio apologizing for anything offensive from Spam Radio
2339 OM on the mic. Gave a maildrop address in Faribault MN. Other stuff about QSL's.
2341 OM still speaking, but there was a bit of the "spam spam spam spam" song from Monty Python in there.
2342 Something that sounds like a 20's or 30's jazz version of "Stairway to Heaven." Not sure what it is but it's the same melody.
2344 two OM now, one with English accent. The weird song is still in the background.
2345 Spam Spam Spam Spam song into a parody song about Spam done to the tune of REM's "Stand."
2348 both OM back on the mic with Spam radio ID, mention of it being Saturday night. Faribault address given again. OM said anyone unhappy with previous QSL cards could mail them back to him. Will send back a tape with both this show and the previous one that was already heard. Apparently this is the broadcast referred to in this listing: https://www.hfunderground.com/wiki/index.php/SPAM_Radio
2351 clip of third OM reciting poem about spam.
2354 both OM still going on. Signal starting to fade out at this point.
2355 signal came up, I can understand most of what's being said. Huzzah!
2356 a word from our sponsor... Ad for Fungus Hut.
2357 OM back on mic, saying that those who destroyed the image still looked at it. Signal cut off in middle of this bit.
2358 back on after a minute, "This is a crooked man calling" repeated several times, into
2359 "Satisfaction" sung by a female singer. No ID from Shazam so no idea who this was, but it sounded like it was recorded back in the 60s
Off at 0001

This was a pretty solid signal overall. I'm surprised that it was missed by the other listeners when it was on.

I'm in the middle of getting dinner together, so I'll play these back later and post my decodes then. Thanks for the SSTV show!

The last SSTV I have shows Skippy Radio "Smoke Signal" so that's how I'm calling it.

Strong signal for this late in the morning on 49m. Tx in Singapore, signal is about SIO 333. English language lesson airing, judging from the way they're speaking it.

Perhaps not great DX given its location in Alberta, but a first for me. Religious music (one song was actually not half bad) without commercials, station only ID's as "AM 1140" but was able to hunt it down online and confirm audio with its livestream. Was a solid copy at SIO 233, but faded by the time I began writing this post (0627z).

Faint, playing blues music and sent at least one SSTV.

Various SSTV's sent (I think three altogether) but this last one at about 0416 was the best quality.

Thanks to Azimuth Coordinator for sending me this, even though I failed the contest dismally. :D
