Fair reception in French.  RFI is on several frequencies but this is the only one I can receive at the moment.  Women's World Cup Final 16 match being played in host country France.

1900 Game action starts, 2OM on play by play, heard "Marta" a couple of times - star Brazilian player.
1922 "Goal" French goal, France 1 - Brazil 0
1926 Goal reversed by video review, still 0-0.
1951 Halftime no score
2000 Off, RFI now on other frequencies that I can't receive at the moment
2044 Just starting being received on 9790, score tied at 1.  Very good reception.

Good Reception. Live coverage of Final 16 Women's World Cup match between England and Cameroon, sorry no play by play blogging - I don't know players well enough.  If someone can explain to me why a team with a losing record in pool play advances to knockout stage, I'd appreciate (too few teams and too much money?) but I digress....

1558 IS chimes
1559 Immediately into joined in action play by play of match by 2YL
1600 No top hour break for news or Sportworld ID
1607 Deep fades in reception now
1617 England scores in extra time, goal reversed on offside.  Video being checked.  Offside overturn, goal counts - England 2 - Cameroon 0.

Surprisingly good reception using PL-880 with its wire on the back porch as transmission emanates from Kimjae.  Sounds like occasional attempts to jam this Korean language broadcast.

1532 YL and OM in discussion in Korean
1552 Conversation has continued straight through with the word "Korea" mentioned several times.  Attempts at jamming have quelled.

I have not seen an official announcement on this yearly transmission but the BBC did do a test broadcast (I received) on 14 Jun at 2130 utc on 5875(WOF), 5990(DHA), 7360(ASC), and 9455(WOF).  I received the last two frequencies with excellent reception.

This annual broadcast is from friends and family at BBC studios to British researchers in Antartica.  It is a mix of homespun messages, children singing happy birthday, latest family news, and pertinent commercial music.  The broadcast celebrates the days getting longer at the bottom of the world, first day of winter there, so "Here Comes the Sun" and like songs are generally featured.  It's worth listening to least once if you have not done so, I try to catch it yearly.

Here's a reception report about it three years ago:

Excellent reception...test transmissions on these frequencies for next Friday's Mid-Winter Antartica broadcast due to be on until 2145.  The annual 21 Jun broadcast is one not to be missed - a homespun, quirky, musical letter from loved ones back in the UK to their missed relatives in Antartica.

Desportes will shut down in September.  Perhaps their largest affiliate is WEPN 1050am in New York, a 50,000 watt class B station - the original home of WFAN.  The current flagship of the NY Yankee Spanish radio network.

Very good reception in Greek

While spinning the dial, I came across the cadence of 2 OM's doing play by play of soccer in Greek.  At first, I thought is was possibly coverage of the Woman's World Cup but Greece did not qualify.  After hearing some Italian names, I figured out it was the Italian/Greek Euro 2020 qualifying match.  Surprised to learn that VoG did live sports.

1908 Two OM's in Greek in fast, high pitch cadence - assumption near goal by Italy based on Italian players named in pressing the action.
