Just tuned in about 130, I assume this is part of a larger station, however, shortwaveschedules.com is not showing a transmission on this frequency.

First noticed at 300z, seems to be a 40khz wide data transmission made up of quickly sweeping lines on SDR.

General Radio Discussion / Lack Of Pirate Broadcasts Lately
« on: May 18, 2016, 0202 UTC »
Has anyone noticed the lack of pirate broadcasts in North America in the last two days? Any ideas as to why that may be? My theory is that the new shortwave schedule is changing from B15 to A16, although this may be wrong.

SDR - Software Defined Radio / Raspberry Pi AM Transmitter:RPiTX
« on: April 29, 2016, 1120 UTC »
I've been experimenting with different transmitters and I just happened to have a Raspberry Pi laying around. After fiddling around for a couple of hours I managed to get it to transmit an AM signal. However it seemed to be dividing the clock signals wrong, such that any audio file piped into it seemed to be 3X+ its normal speed. Just wondering if anyone has had better luck with the software. Here is a link to the software on Github:  https://github.com/F5OEO/rpitx

Loud and clear here in Tennessee. Seems to have an Extremely Strong carrier. Overpowers even WRMI completely with just minor grounding.

Huh? / Tire Pressure
« on: April 17, 2016, 0033 UTC »
Please, feel free to insult me for such a ridiculous question. Me being a total noob, I ask: "What is Tire Pressure?" I have heard many things about it, many having to deal with Al Fansome. I would appreciate any responses.

General Radio Discussion / Radio Gallifrey Intergalactic?
« on: March 23, 2016, 1504 UTC »
Radio Gallifrey Intergalactic. They seem to be a pirate station that broadcasts randomly in North America and I have been trying to pin down when or if they broadcast anymore. Here's what I know so far.
They broadcast on 6955,6935,6925, USB(most often around the set of NA pirate frequencies) usually at or around 000 UTC.
Here is a list of broadcasts to date.
1. 8-31-13, Saturday
2. 9-2-13, Monday
3. 9-22-13, Sunday
4. 10-9-13, Wednesday
5. 11-16-13, Saturday
6. 5-15-14, Thursday
7. 7-8-14, Tuesday
8. 12-29-14, Monday
9. 6-3-15, Saturday
10. 6-13-15, Saturday
11. 6-20-15, Saturday
12. 2-10-16, Wednesday

As you can see, their broadcast dates are sporadic, as they never seem to broadcast on a single day, month, or even season. They also have no website and have only released one QSL(that being a eQSL) in their history can be found here:(http://swling.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/twGallifrey-QSL.png)

They have also been known to broadcast SSTV images at the end of their shows, shown
here:

If anyone has any additional information, please feel free to post it in this thread.

This appears to be a station that is not listed on any of the schedule sites. They have not given any type of identification, just music.
If this is not a pirate station and is in fact a regular station, please feel free to correct me.
