SpeechBrain reported Chinese_Taiwan as a possibility, so potentially Taiwanese Mandarin, but admittedly the identification weighting did not return any real significant certainty. So a seriously huge YMMV here.

Chinese_Taiwan 0.027
English 0.027
Spanish 0.026
Chuvash 0.026
Tamil 0.025

Seems we can rule out English and Spanish. About the others, Chuvash favors Russia by population distribution. Tamil favors India, Sri Lanka, and Singapore.

Wow what a wonderfully weird time to be alive. Never heard of this app. Thanks for the help!

4k Wide. Can't seem to find something that looks like it on the wiki. Have a look and listen. Wonder if it's the HFT again.

Just as moi is about to post the signal disappears...It's back now...goin' to the bedroom for closer listening in...gone again-back again, weaker signal...must have a loose antenna connection...   :(

Your radio is programmed to know when you're close by. DX machines are the worst behaved.

Wasn't sure if it was a loose connection or just plain weird conditions.

UNID great sound and signal but CONDX were weird.

S7 - S9 deep fades to no copy.

Started with Welcome to a new day.
1:23 Weird song could not identify due to deep fades https://voca.ro/15QFUR2ednM3
1:27 Spoken word about god's creatures. Sounds like a theramine or snake flute :)
1:29 deep fade.
1:30 I think he turned his amplifier on and then blew a fuse or condx were really messed up. Signal popped up like a rocket for a few seconds and then died.
1:31 my cat demanded attention and well she is important. Thanks for the sounds!

EQSl accepted if you care to fess up to that playlist :)

Yes, that is SuperDARN.  SuperDARN often hits / nags out on 10600 and that area.

I typically do not classify SuperDARN as an OTHR.  For sure it is a radar, and for sure it operates over the horizon, however when many people talk about "OTHR" they envision a radar that is looking for man made stuff, aircraft, missiles, ships, things like that.  SuperDARN is not tracking those kinds of things, but is rather looking at the natural environment.

T!

Yes, plasma tracking in the upper atmosphere. Interesting stuff. Thanks for the confirm.

Some kind of really wide signal sounds like SuperDARN (Super Dual Auroral Radar Network) Seems like two or more stations as one overtakes the other at times.
Closest I can find on the SIGIDENTWIKI is SuperDARN
Have a listen and a look if you would and confirm.

When posting your images, select / highlight the entire URL then click on the "picture frame" icon. This way your image will show up in your post and readers will not be forced to open up the image separately. Just my 2 cents.

And they are appreciated. TY friend.

Yes Thomas very helpful. It was likely L2C as this was NAVTEX at 21:00 hour. 73s

Hi.

16805,0 kHz is irritating, as you cauhgt an FSK modulated signal. The central frequency for that is 16804,5 kHz and it is a well known DSC-channel in the maritime mobile service.

There are many stations from Chile listed there but I'd guess it is either Antofagasta Zonal Radio (CBA) or Valparaiso Playa Ancha Radio (CBV). A very hot catch could be Bahia Fildes Radio (CBZ22) from the Antarctic (-62.196342, -58.959383 / GC07MT).

Looking on Argentine there are the following stations on 16804,5:

  • Buenos Aires Prefectura Naval Radio   L2G
  • Mar del Plata Prefectura Naval Radio   L2U
  • Comodoro Rivadavia Prefectura Naval Radio   L3B
  • Ushuaia Prefectura Naval Radio   L3P
  • Argentina Radio   LSD836
(Source: Admirality LIst of Radio Signals, ITU, IMO GISIS)

On the other hand there is NAVTEX-traffic on 16806,5 kHz but I have no stations from Chile listed there. But from Argentine there are tow entries in my database:

  • Buenos Aires Prefectura Naval Radio   L2B / Sending NAVTEX at 1400z
  • Buenos Aires Prefectura Naval Radio   L2C / Sending NAVTEX at 0030,0300,1000,1400,1530,1900,2100 (all times Zulu)

Just a tipp: ALways use the CF for FSK modulated transmissions - that may help to identify the station you caught much more easier.
 ;)

Hope this helps.
