Floyd Dixon, I knew he did "450 Pound Woman" but had a case of brain lock, that's a good one. I never knew Ike Turner did "Matchbox Blues" but it may be from his Sun Records days and why Sam Phillips gave it to Carl Perkins? It's an old tune. Ike was a talent scout for Sun when it was a Blues label.
Ike and Jackie Brenston under the name of "Jackie Brenston and His Delta Cats" cut "Rocket 88" in '52,arguably the first rock and roll tune and a regional hit. Turner was so pissed the record came out under Brenston's name he never let him sing the tune again. As Brenston played in Turner's band for the rest of his career, he never got the chance. Turner couldn't sing worth a crap, but he was violent and unstable. You didn't cross Ike.
