Is Bangladesh Betar 4750 kHz on AIR recently?
« on: June 09, 2025, 1727 UTC »
I used to copy this signal on 4750 kHz daily about 3-4 year ago.  But now this year, I haven't copied the signal even once.  I have been checking and monitoring 4750 kHz whenever I had SWL time, but no sign of the signal.

Anyone copied it at all?  Any info or news on the station?

Big into SWDX late 70s through early 90s, then forgot about it and when I returned via SDRs it wasn't at all what I remembered, but I'll deal with it. Grumble, grumble. All SDRs acknowledged, nothing is from my own radio.

At this point they should be having "why the hell are we spending this money?" issues.

It looks like several LPAM stations I have been copying a few year ago have stopped their transmissions.  It just tells about their situation either the country is having problems of some sort, or their finance is short running out of money.

When they turn to internet PODCAST, no one will be interested in listening to them anymore, as there are too many to listen to.  Hence they will be forgotten for good by the rest of the world.  Having said that, some stations have been coming back, and there are many new stations starting.  Shortwave will live forever.

Last time I heard them was when I send them a report and got a qsl card in return, that was before the protests and the transmitter problems..

I have been checking the frequency 4750 kHz as daily routine in evenings on their AIR time, but nothing heard.
