11m + SSTV Activity 18 OCT 2022
« on: October 18, 2022, 1002 UTC »
Weak groundwave signals at 0952z. 27185a, 27265a, 27285a, 27305a, etc.

Spotted a a blip or two on 27025a in the waterfall, though I suspect it was local.

Usual receiver when in the den. Airspy HF+ Discovery and 31' vertical over radial field. Preamp engaged.

Temps are supposed to drop for a couple of days. Might finally take a look at rerouting my 18' vertical feedline.

Starting at ~1000z:

27385l - multiple locals via groundwave, including one op splattering across 11m

Starting at ~1152z:

27600u - Barbados op calling CQ

27345l - Spanish language activity (Europe?)
27465l - Spanish language activity (Europe?)
27395l - English language European DX

27285a - North American DX

27525u - Weak signal DX (Europe?)
27580u - Italian? language DX

27385l - usual DX zoo starting up

11m band is open for DX at 1444z.

27770 SSTV starting at ~1455z.  SSB activity on 27700u and 27705l is not helping the SSTV decodes. Anyway.
