UNID Utility Carrier 5129.9 AM 1820 UTC 11 NOV 2022
« on: November 12, 2022, 1831 UTC »
Exact frequency is 5129.90 kHz. S9 with the Northwest Ireland KiwiSDR but seemingly no modulation at all (except a slight hum). I thought this station was no longer on air, but EIBI still lists it with the schedule below. It is not scheduled to be on air right now so I think someone may have left the transmitter on (without any audio going to it). I will keep listening for this station, I haven't seen any reports of it in a while.

2010 UTC-Still going with no audio
2207 UTC-Still going with no audio, weak carrier on the W3HFU KiwiSDR
2305 UTC-Still going with no audio

5130          0000-0200       KGZ R.Sedaye Zindagi         AFG AFG
5130          1450-1750 Mo-Fr KGZ R.Sedaye Zindagi,d.1-15  AFG AFG
5130          2300-2400       KGZ R.Sedaye Zindagi         AFG AFG

EDIT: This is a utility station carrier, see a separate thread for a logging of the real Radio Sedaye Zindagi. This thread needs to be moved to Utility.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

I had a carrier there the other day when knocking around on Westminster, MD. KIWI with the 900 ft. loop.

It was about the same as you reported, but a little later in the day, roughly 19:30 UTC. I stuck around until the top of the hour, when nothing popped up, I called it quits.

WBCQ also uses this frequency, maybe them? Their signal could not propagate to Europe right now, so I know I am not hearing them. However, it is possible you heard them on the W3HFU KiwiSDR. I believe the exact frequency for WBCQ is 5129.97 kHz, if you hear it again I would have a look at the exact frequency it is on.

WBCQ is pretty good about sticking to their schedule so I doubt it's them.

This needs to be moved to Utility.

In my QTH I also saw this signal without modulation and stopped watching it considering it a utility.
