S9+40 signal which is pretty common and some good music. I shot this video of the reception instead of taking a picture, I thought y'all would enjoy it. 11780kHz is beamed from Brasilia DF, Brazil with 100KW at 359 deg to the northern reaches of Brazil and the Amazon

I was getting it at 10/10 on the meter here around 2300 UTC as well.

The beam may actually be 350 deg, i dont ,know.. but   the pattern/lobe isnt that tight.......  the US is in a great location for 2rd, 3rd, 4th hop etc

250 kilowatts beamed north from Brazil makes for an excellent signal in North America. The target of the broadcast is the Amazon region, but the signal obviously goes far beyond that.

It hits all of N AM well. Here in Denver, when they were experimenting with DRM, it was the only DRM signal I've ever locked on for a long period of time, about an hour or more without a single dropout. (Of course that shows why it's a poor mode for DX'ers, but that's another topic of discussion - the fact it was good at all is more about the quality of this transmission.)
