Firedrake on 14.700 & 16.160 at 1440 utc

I was tuning around today and heard Firedrake on 14.700 & 16.160 MHZ

I know why it's on 14.700 Mhz but what is of interest on 16.160 Mhz that is a jamming target?

The signal on 16.160 Mhz was very strong S9 +++, 14.700 Mhz about S9

ALso there was a very short comment made by a female just before sign off.

They're jamming the Sound of Hope, among others, and that's supposedly one of their frequencies.

One listing of SOH freqs:

I kinda sorta figured that 16.160 MHZ was a weird place to be...

Also Antonio EA5GTI has reported hearing this too...

Oh well...

Yeah, a definitely strange place. Have found them all over the place (12-19 MHz), normally outside of the SWBC bands. Was listening to them the other day on 15900 and coming in strong. Morning, can hear them at 13820, 13920 or 13970.
