Twilight Zone theme, either it went off, or faded. 0112z. About S7, S7 noise level too. Well I take that back, decent carrier, Beatles but audio seems funky.

Have this station on 6951 at 0122z. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by CCR. Not particularly strong.

6950 AM (?), 0120z: CCR "Have You Ever Seen the Rain".  Rough copy, not sure if signal or audio.  Fair via east coast SDR.
0122z: Stones "Jumping Jack Flash"
0126z: Hendrix "Hey Joe"
0129z: Stones "Brown Sugar", Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower"
0134z: Twilight Zone theme, mixed in with bits of music, Hendrix "Hey Joe"
0137z: Beatles "Nowhere Man", crazy mish-mash of other songs - Three Dog Night "Mama Told Me Not to Come" and "Never Been to Spain", Stones "Honky Tonk Women", several others.
0144z: Twilight Zone theme again.
0146z: Mish-mash of Steppenwolf "Magic Carpet Ride", BTO "Let it Ride"
0150z: Stevie Wonder "Superstitious"
0154z: Off, no ID heard.

Sure sounds Captain Morganish, but no ID heard yet.  Signal strength dropped to just above noise level by 0130z.

Odd signal.  Can copy fairly well using AM sync detection, but can't find center freq via either sideband tuning.

at 0131 hear faint carrier when using ssb mode. In am mode hear occasional bits of music under static.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
