Radio Vanuatu

This past weekend, 11835khz had a noticeable hum.. the next day and subsequent days, it hasnt been on the air.. 7260 continues on past 0700UTc, when it should sign off.

I gotta think this 11835 is intentional at this point, after 3-4 years!

Greetings, Paul, from California! I have also been enjoying Radio Vanuatu reception.

VANUATU. On May 17, heard Radio Vanuatu on 11835 (3rd harmonic), at *0759:00 to 0819 UT; just after 7260 went
off the air, switched to 3945; long interview with Ralph Regenvanu, Vanuatu's Minister for Energy, about many aspects
of energy; "just yesterday, state of California . . ," a reference to the news that the state endorsed the Fossil Fuel Non-
Proliferation Treaty proposal, which is being led by Vanuatu, to manage the global transition away from fossil fuels (my
audio is at https://app.box.com/s/t06ztbd6zy3wfh9iw14i0vhddp9a6t1w ); 0845, religious songs; 0859, promo for RV;
followed by discussion of domestic violence, sexual violence and physical violence, in Bislama; as usual was fairly
readable. 3945 (weak audio), 7890 (carrier), 15780 (perhaps a carrier, but extremely weak?), 19725 (no signal).

May 18, heard 11835 (third harmonic), *0759:00+ UT. Chatting with callers till 0816; later at 1001, ID/frequencies/time
check & news till 1016; lead story about the amount of money that was in this year's emergency fund has already been
spent regarding cyclones Judy and Kevin; still on the air 1025+.

No idea why the sudden change to sign on 11835 an hour later.

11835 is awfully good here most of the time!! 7260, not so much.. and 3945 is barely a carrier with a mumble here
