Wolverine Radio 6925 USB 0150 UTC 6-16-2013
« on: June 16, 2013, 0150 UTC »
Just signed on with check check 1 2, then wolverine ID and into some nice 30's swing music.

We appear to have a "morning" theme

0156 "Good Mornin" From singing in the rain soundtrack.
0157 Wolverine ID
0201 "Early in the morning"

Peaks to just over S9 with resonant loop and G31DDC.  A good amount of storm noise here as well.  SIO 433

01:51 Swing music - nice S7 signal into Illinois (stormy QRN here)
01:53 new song - don't know title (a bit before my time ;D)
02:09 song - sound a bit like Delta Blues -- still S7 signal between S9 static crashes.
02:50 SSTV - then off

Great sounding old swing tune at 2:43z. S9+15 with lingering storm static. To my mind the qrn sort of enhances the old tunes.

1:55z  "Good morning, good morning, it's great to stay up late..." followed by ID

2:50z ID followed by SSTV & off

Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com
