Voice of Tibet
« on: August 21, 2013, 1503 UTC »
A very cool radio war (or maybe just a police action) going on with this station & the Chinese jammer.

Heard via Twente at 13:10 on 15563 with a CNR 1 jammer on 15560.
30 minutes later I find Voice of Tibet on 15568 & the CNR 1 jammer is on 15565.
At 13:50z Voice of Tibet is now on 2 frequencies 15563 & 15568. The Chinese jammer is temporarily off & it returns a few minutes later but now its on 15540 (??). Also find a sort of noise jammer on 15550 that I have always associated with China.

At 14:00 they are both gone.

This situation needs some more monitoring. I have noted the situation before but have never really stayed on top of it & nailed down who is where at what time.

I tried to follow these guys again today via Twente as I pretended to work in my office. It gets sort of confusing so hang with me.

13:05z  Voice of Tibet is on 15563 & CNR1 jammer is on 15560
13:18z   VOT is still on 15563 but now  CNR1 has moved to 15565
13:40z   VOT moves to 15568 & also comes on 15548  CNR is still on 15565
13:44z   VOT on 15548 moves down to 15542 & CNR1 stays on 15565 but now there is a noise jammer also on 15565
13:48z   CNR1 moves to 15570 & the noise stays on 15565
13:50z   CNR1 comes up on 15540 in addition to 15570 & the noise on 15565
14:00z   VOT shuts down 15542 & CNR1 shuts down 15570
14:01z   VOT stays on 15568 past the normal close down @ 14z   CNR1 comes back up on 15570
14:05z   VOT moves down to 15562   CNR remains on 15570   the noise on 15565 shuts down
14:29z   VOT modulation shuts down on 15562   CNR1 shuts down 15570 & replaces it with noise ( the noise might have been there all along & I didn't notice it among all the other stuff)
14:31z   VOT carrier goes off 15562   Noise stays up past my last check at 1440z at which point I had to stop pretending to work & really knuckle down & work for 5 or 6 minutes of the 8 hours I get paid for.

I can't wait to do this again tomorrow.
