AM 1710 near Birmingham, AL still busy broadcasting in the Aeronautical Naviagation Band

Search for radio station information in the AM broadcast band (530 kHz to 1700 kHz)
https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/am-query

The service code for TIS stations is PW (Conventional Public Safety Pool) in the Land Mobile - Private (LP) category.  The frequency range for TIS stations will be between 530 and 1700 KHz (K).
https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/travelers-information-stations-search

It sure doesn't sound like Traffic Information to me...

Listen to them live on N4DKD's KiWiSDR receiver (Birmingham, AL US)
