Late posting from 7-27-09 beacon "D"

7-27-09   0018UTC   5153.8   CW 400 Hz   Heavy QRN difficult copy   
ID seems to be a repeating “D” but qrn was chopping the signal so there
is some doubt on ID.
 I'll be listening for this signal until I can verify the ID as "D" or otherwise!!
Can someone comment?

Your be surprised what you actually hear around the PIFERs...
Some strange stuff indeed...while listening for F 8261

I hear what I call the "whistler" some fisherman whistles into his mic...

And when hunting for Pike 26, I catch Russians and a lot of English Channel boating chit chat. Some of those blokes are so interesting (and uncensored), I forget about the beacons and enjoy the "Two Ronnies" radio version
