I just moved into a new location in upstate South Carolina, and am still getting my radio gear set up. I got a little bit antsy, and fired up the radio with just an attic wire antenna and no ground yet.
Punching in the frequencies listed on the wiki page, I was happy to see a signal come across the spectrum display when I punched one of them in.
It isn't much for a first beacon reception, but for what it's worth, I believe that to be Blinky fading in and out of the noise floor; 5.157600 at 00:57 UTC on 11 August 2009 - approximately 45 dashes per minute.
I hope to have more and stronger signal reports in the future, as I get some real antennas and ground lines run in.
