Twangy Radio 6925 USB 0019 UTC 17 Oct 2013
« on: October 17, 2013, 0020 UTC »
Just signed on with The Jefferson's theme. Same Station as last night? Good here, S9.
ID at 0024, mentions of Obama.

I went back and listened to the recording. Andrew Yoder is correct, this sounds like Twangy Radio, not Toynbee Radio.

S5 here, very good modulation.  ID @ 0024 - Toynbee Radio, then into 'Play that Funky Music'
Up to S9 @ 0043 with 'Rock Steady' -- very good signal!

0023 OM talk ment Obama
0024 Play That Funky Music
0029 Toynbee Radio ID, drive-by ment of Obama, Get Down On It
0033 "This is Toynbee Radio..?Voice of Obama?", more funk
0038 ID, Rock Steady
0048 ID, Toynbee playing funk because the country's in a funk; makes sense, and also makes a great show
0056 ID and off

At the floor here, but the SSB helps

Thanks Toynbee Twangy Radio!

I reviewed my recording at lunch today, and found 7 IDs.  IDs at 0023, 0033, 0038, and 0048 sounded indeterminate here.  IDs at 0029 and 0056 actually sounded more like "Toynbee" than "Twangy".  An ID at 0043, which I missed last night, is "Twangy" clear as a bell.
