Today is the 50th anniversary of the closing of Dutch offshore pirates. There are several (Internet)-stations commemorating this event. This might be a relay of one of those.

This Saturday marks exactly 50 years since Veronica and Radio Northsea Int. stopped their broadcasts. This special ‘anniversary’ will not go unnoticed! Internet station Radio Veronica 192 is broadcasting the final week of Veronica in its entirety this week: www.192radio.nl/192radioplayer/index.php.

This Saturday, starting at 12:00 PM, a reunion will begin, and Radio 192 will broadcast from the legendary Norderney (in Amsterdam) with some of the original DJs.

Another oldies internet station is Radio Extra Gold. While everyone else stops on August 31, Radio Extra Gold will present the annual Offshore Radio Top 74 live from Museum RockArt in Hoek van Holland this time on Sunday, September 1, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in the most beautiful museum in the Netherlands. www.extragold.nl .
