Fair to just barely good signal received via the Fair Hill, Maryland, SDR ...
2154 UTC: Still relatively early in the original Mercury Theatre production of "War of the Worlds." The on-the-scene reporter in New Jersey is reporting before the crowd there's about to be evaporated (spoiler alert!).
2202 UTC: "War of the Worlds" continues; the first tripod just attacked the crowd.
2210 UTC: The alien invasion is spreading out and destroying New Jersey. It's been just a couple years since I last heard this broadcast, which inspired a townwide panic just an hour or so north of me back in 1938.
2218 UTC: We're at the part where the military is attacking but not doing well against the alien tripods.
2224 UTC: Quick chicken fanfare, an ID announced by an OM, then back to the "War of the Worlds." I didn't catch what was said for the ID. Thunder Chicken Radio, is that you?
2230 UTC: "War of the Worlds" still going.
2238 UTC: Orson's talking about how a simple virus killed the Martians and humanity's saved.
2242 UTC: "That was no Martian -- it's Halloween" wraps up the "War of the Worlds" broadcast.
2243 UTC: SSTV transmission of Thunder Chicken Radio logo.
2245 UTC: "Scream" by Rick Nielsen & the Chancellors.
Thanks, TCR, for the Halloween eve broadcast!
