MAC Shortwave 6850.8 AM
« on: September 02, 2009, 0708 UTC »
9/2/09, 6850.8 AM - Best signal I've heard from MAC in several months.
0507z: Billy Preston "Will It Go 'Round in Circles"
0508z: MAC Shortwave ID
0510z: Partridge Family "I Woke Up in Love This Morning", sounds like DJ singing along!
0512z: Still singing along, OM saying "...you're not gonna believe me, of course..."
0513z: Roy Orbison "Pretty Woman"
Between approx. 0515-0525, heard a couple of clear Paul Starr ID's, BJ Thomas "Hooked on a Feeling", Fifth Dimension "Wedding Bell Blues", then faded out by 0530z.

SINPO - 32312, overall best signal I've heard from MAC for awhile. Good peaks, fairly heavy local RFI and deep fades, but occasionally strong enough to hear on indoor portable in AM mode with just the whip.

(N. Central TX - indoor Magnavox D2935 in AM mode w/ whip)
That li'l ol' DXer from Texas
Unpleasant Frequencies Crew
Al: Palstar R30C & various antennae
Snoopy: Sony ICF-2010
Roger: Magnavox D2935
(Off-air recordings.)
