Station programming seems to have really improved from last year, no longer
the little religious station from rural Venezuela. Power also seems to have been
increased as it is now the strongest signal in the 60 Meter band here in
SW Florida.  All this is indeed surprising considering the fact that President
Maduro has all but shut down commercial radio in Venezuela.

Very good. I heard that station way up into northern NY.  You had replied to my post about the station ID  days ago.
Interesting is that the Country is in much turmoil and could be an area to keep listening to. I have heard the news before the News in the past, such as the military clashes on the Peruvian border with Ecuadore to name one example. Do they ever broadcast in English?

Have not heard them speaking English during a broadcast but oddly enough have heard them playing old country tunes from George Strait, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, etc. Apparently Maduro likes whoever is running the station or they would be off the air.

That old Zenith  in your pic is the same one I have, it was purchased from an elder woman, she had a Garage sale some years ago and I bought it for practically nothing. it works pretty good.
