P beacon on 7998.50
« on: December 09, 2013, 0036 UTC »
well the "X" beacon is gone and now a "P" beacon is on 7998.50.
It's a little weaker but the prop doesn't seem too good today.
interesting that this beacon keeps changing the id'er and a
slight shift in frequency

Chuck

now 0340z 12/10/13  just got in the shack and the "P" beacon
is on but very weak after 0350z it became very audible then faded out
as the band changed.  I wish I knew what part of the country this
was coming from.

Not 100% sure but I believe I hear a very weak P on this freq - using the Mojave Desert receiver on the Global Tuners website.

Anyone else around to verify this tonight?

"P" and "X" are dot-dash inverted from each other. Wonder if this is by design or fault or two beacons? ???

Peace!
