Radio Free Whatever, 6925 AM, 0430z, 1-15-14

Big signal at sign-on around 0425z. S8 with nice quality AM audio. 43444. Intro chatter about shortwave, T-shirts, then into Queens of the Stone Age.

Signal quickly dropped to S1-S5 and frequent fades at 0438z. Intermittent QRM hash near me is S7 and killing the signal too.

Radio Free Whatever, 1-15-14, 0435-0458*, 6.925 AM and then USB, got the light carrier here with occasional snippets of programming detectable at 0435.  hearing talk at 0445 and then into music which starts out with "oh oh oh oh oh....."  now hearing programming somewhat strong in usb at 0449 with song "a message to you...." then another song...signal now copyable at S3-5 at 0452.  heard clear ID at 0455 then into music.  signal either fell off a cliff at 0458 like the op flipped a switch, or station signed-off.

SDR recording catch. 0422 sign on in AM mode, very weak, some audio.
Switched to USB at 0448, and voila, I had some nice audio. Still weak, but perfectly acceptable.
Off at 0459.

And then the power supply bridge rectifier went BANG! RFW off the air again.   Hey, at least I tried.

 Maybe because of bad swr / consuming too much Amps?
