The recent WRTH update has details for a new clandestine radio aimed at Rwanda from a transmitter in Madagascar. Time is 1700-1800 UT daily on 17540 kHz, programming in Kinyarwanda and Kirundi languages. They have a website with an embedded audio stream player at RadioImpala.com, on silent stream when I checked at 1220 UT but perhaps active at the SW broadcast times.
This time and frequency was formerly used by another Rwandan clandestine, Radio Mara, so I guess this supplants it.

I was already listening to what I thought was Radio Mara on 17540 when I read this. My Kinyarwanda is a little rusty (or non-existent) so I have no idea what the 2 speakers were on about but the signal from Madagascar was excellent this morning, S9+10 at times. I listened for an ID but didn't catch one but I missed the start of the show so I don't know for sure who I heard on 17540 this morning.
I did find some other mention of Impala on line but again my Kinyarwanda failed me & google seems to think it is in English.

http://glpost.com/radio-impala-yatangiye-kumvikana-mu-rwanda-ndetse-mu-karere-kibiyaga-bigari/btw the radioimpala.com site says it is "broadcasting from Kigali, Rwanda" so...a local fm that is relayed on SW?
