Sound card for SDR
« on: February 22, 2014, 1530 UTC »
Is this the right sound card to buy for use with an SDR?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102063

It has a 192-kHz sampling rate, which I understand to be the most important spec.

I have an Intel D915PCY motherboard with a 2.8GHz Pentium-4 and 4GB of PC4200 (533MHz) memory.
I am running Windows XP with SP3 on that computer.

At $70 for that sound card, and at least as much or more for a soft rock type radio, you're already more than half way to an AFEDRI.

My two cents, anyway.
