Wolverine Radio 6925 USB, Little Wing theme show
« on: October 03, 2009, 0702 UTC »
Wolverine Radio with another theme show, several versions of the Jimi Hendrix classic "Little Wing"
10/3/09, 6925 USB, 0158-0310 UTC: Started with Wolverine Radio signature opening, riff from Barenaked Ladies "Testing 1-2-3".  Versions of "Little Wing" by Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Concrete Blonde, Edie Brickell and several instrumental only versions ranging from jazzy guitar to mandolin and flute or pan pipes.  Remarkably good audio with excellent dynamic range, among the best I've heard on shortwave in sideband.  Ended at 0311 UTC with echo fx ID and SSTV image of Jimi Hendrix w/ Wolverine Radio logo.

5 minute edited mp3 to include bits with best signal and audio: http://www.mediafire.com/?23zmz1r34x4

SINPO - Started at 21321, very weak signal and heavy interference from local intermittent RFI, then improved to 42423, excellent peaks with slow regular fades between S1-S9.  Main problem was local intermittent S9+ local RFI bursts wiping out 30 seconds every two or three minutes, but good between noise bursts.
