2346 "You may stay on the line. An operator will answer" and many more telephone sounds
2350 "Operator 621" "This a recording in Cameron West Virginia"
2355 "What number are you calling please?" "Please make a note of it" "252-4199"
0000 ID -  "You have been listening to the Bell System.  This is the Bell System" - OM
0005 "A real helping hand in the kitchen is a handy wall phone in color"
0010 "This is a recording in Ashboro North Carolina"
0015 "Try to understand the motivation" "The number you have dialed is a party on your line"
---
0036 same OM ID
0040 "If you remain on the line, an operator will answer"
0046 "Good evening telephone repair"

I say this every time I hear your broadcast, but it is weirdly compelling to listen to.  I made a recording, and I plan to use it to demonstrate to my music students the aesthetic of the aleatory music of John Cage

S9ish signal and pretty good audio heard via the SDR in Fair Hill, Maryland, amid moderate noise levels ...

2357 UTC: Montage of different operators talking along with various phone-related noises.
2359 UTC: A bit of French language in the mix.
0000 UTC: Male-voiced ID.
0007 UTC: The montage of usual phone sounds and operator voices continues. I always find this station to be strangely hypnotic.
0017 UTC: The phone noises and operators are punctuated at times by one female voice promoting phone services.
0021 UTC: I'm off to a board meeting, but The Bell System's still on and coming in nicely at this SDR.

Thanks again for the broadcast, The Bell System!

Thanks you for the wonderful show!

SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Never thought it would come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a metal cover version of The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round on pirate short wave radio. Is life great, or what!?

Fair/good strength, but buried in loud t-storm crashes at 0056. Operators and dial tones. Fun show to listen to normally, but not great tonight here
