unid whistle on 13.554 Mhz 3/25/14 14:00utc
« on: March 26, 2014, 0115 UTC »
Hello my name is Mike, and while I have been a reader here for a while, this is my first post. I have been a SWL since the 60's, so have heard many different things over the years. However this is a new type of transmission for me.

While having the radio set to capture “hi-Fer” beacons using Argo running on the pc I heard sounds of what I would describe as human whistles. There is a variation in the whistles, but seem to be repeated in patterns, suggesting some type on information is being passed. I have heard this off and on over the past couple months. The signals are weak, generally not budging the s-meter, and had been received in the daylight hours only.

I have searched the forums here, as well as google and other internet places without finding additional information. I hope the group can provide some additional insite.

You can listen to a recording of 13.554 USB,  made on 03/25/2014 at 14:00 utc here
