I was surprised when"X" popped up briefly but clearly on 4094.500 KHz just now, 21:20 PST local. Just enough audio above the noise to match what I see on the PX3

I also hear "A" on 2097.315 KHz

I'm hearing the "X" beacon on 4094.5 here in Santa Barbara, Calif., at 0515 UTC.  Any idea where it is coming from?

Congratulations on the catch. I searched the forum but did not see any discussion of X's location but if there is we can discuss it there. Because X is not a legal transmitter it is likely that the true location will never be made public.

Right now I have an extremely strong signal for the "A" beacon with minimal fading on a slightly lower frequency of 2097.300 KHz. Maybe a result of the early hot weather?

I have a very weak "X" beacon on 4094.500 KHz
