Using USB to dig out a weak signal. Heard an ad about cigarettes maybe, and now a song at 0100 UTC.
All logs made from my own SDRs, boatanchors, and antennas
QTH: vicinity of Auburn, Alabama

I  can only make out the carrier and a hint that there is modulation on the frequency... <sigh> no joy ;-)

I hear a carrier. The noise gets louder when I tune to the frequency.  And on USB I heard some definite station sounds.

Just  a very faint carrier at 1217z.

Update: some good signals and audio at about 1300z, then back down to just a carrier again.

The foF2 value is very low, currently about 4 MHz over the eastern US. That explains the weak signals, the skip zone on 43 meters is huge right now, probably 500 miles or so?

Update: The audio is coming back at 1310z. Maybe foF2 is finally going up.

My best signal so far, the S meter is actually moving. Unfortunately the summer static is making it very hard to listen to and make out what is playing.

I can hear a male voice, maybe Amos & Andy, in very brief bursts (S3 among S1 noise) so brief I'd swear the signal is bounding off lightning strikes. I'm in Utah. 0315 UTC 9 Jun 2014
Yaesu FTdx3000 + vertical over a metal roof in Utah.
