Eccentric Shortwave 6925 SSTV & Lady Gaga, then WEAK
« on: November 18, 2009, 0516 UTC »
No ID audible.  Difficult to imagine how many stations would have the audacity to play Lady Gaga.  (Well, at least three now!)
11/18/09, 6925 USB
0444 UTC: SSTV Scottie 2 mode, illegible, followed by music, no copy.
0503 UTC: Lady Gaga "Pokerface" just enough above the mud to recognize her distinctive voice.
0510 UTC: SSTV Scottie 2 mode, poor copy, barely any shapes legible.
0528 UTC: "Crimson & Clover" Tommy James & Shondells
0530 UTC: SSTV Scottie 2 mode, just legible enough to tell it's Eccentric Shortwave, will post later.
0602 UTC: Not sure if still Eccentric, briefly heard dance music, much better signal, stopping and starting a few times.
0626 UTC: A few seconds of Lady Gaga "Pokerface" clearly audible, then stopped.
0634 UTC: Jazz piano, stopping and starting, sounds like Vince Guaraldi "Cast Your Fate to the Wind"
0644 UTC: Nancy Sinatra "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down"
0649 UTC: Possible WEAK Radio ID?  Buried under burst of local RFI.

Received e-mail that everything I logged from 0602-0649z was WEAK.  Eccentric and Outhouse testing, but were inaudible here.

0910-0950 UTC: Occasionally audible, "Kung Fu Fighting", "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", others.  "Eccentric Shortwave" voice ID at 0950z, first time I've heard voice ID for this station.  All others have come from SSTV or e-mail confirmation.
