« on: April 05, 2015, 1809 UTC »
Sign on shortly after 1800 with music, ID, sound effects, about S-5 here with local noise.
Full ID and email 1814, signal improving a bit as well, Linda Rondstadt's "It's So Easy" at 1815.
Weaker now at 1825 UT. Nothing like the E1 to bring out weak am audio. Off at 1900

I have the slightest hint of a CARRIER that started @ 1758 UTC….but certainly no Audio here on the ELAD FDM-S2!! Was hoping to hear this…but a Carrier won't be good enough…..
Thanks for the tip on the ECSS Rafman!! I tried ECSS and I now have TRACE AUDIO @ 1833 UTC, and I can see the Signal (Barely) on the Waterfall!!
I sure can't make out any of the Audio….But I can hear it vaguely and see the signal now!!
Chris…Maybe being on the East Coast is helping you a bit too?? I'm over here in the landlocked Snowbelt of S/W Ontario!!

Thanks for the ELAD Tricks on ECSS Rafman!! I just got the ELAD and still learning the ropes!! Good advice always appreciated!!

Signal on Waterfall Display and Carrier gone just after 1900 UTC!

Did I have them?? Who knows???

I have it here, using ECSS on Elad S2...
Decent signal but very light audio... at the beginning 1820z

1829z male ann speaking, into music, ID over top, then mentioned "November in the Netherlands"
1839z clear ID w/email, into "Born to Be Wild" Steppenwolf
1845z ID w/email
1847z "We're Not Going to Take It Anymore" Twisted Sister
1853z "Living Thing" ELO [thank to listeners over music]
1855z echo ID over top of ELO  ;)
1856z "3, 2, 1..."
1859z mention of MW tx & coverage
1900z /off

s3-5+ on peaks

Thanks for the show!

Rocky, might be but the ECSS is a magic trick on carrier-only spottings... I've had flat out noise & managed to extract audio from it!! Keep Lock BW around 100Hz so it don't go "wandering'...
My other poss advantage is the 41M beverage antenna here... I can almost hear French Fruit Flies Flatulating!!! ;D
