Well, one thing is certain:

It's easier to acquire large amounts of radio equipment without one of those looking over your shoulder.

In defense of those of us who have been happily married (32 years here)...

One of the skills I have had to acquire in marriage is the art of compromise, and I had an occasion to do so this week.  My dear wife was wondering if we should replace our aging refrigerator, and I was enthusiastic without hesitation about this.  "Find it, buy it, and let's get it in here!"

It is great, and she is very happy for my support.  I am happy also, as the most ferocious emitter of RF pollution below 500 kHz in my house has exited the building and moved on to White Goods Heaven.   ;)

I call that a fair deal, wouldn't you?

When holidays, anniversaries, and birthdays come around, gift certificates are your friend. They can save you the shame of having to return a brand new lawn tractor to the hardware store and suffering the scorn of the fellas who hang out there.

Trust me, no man wants to hear, "There goes that guy who makes his wife use a push mower." Get her a gift certificate, she can pick out her own darned lawn tractor.
