« on: September 30, 2016, 0149 UTC »
0148 S3 signal into Denver.
0155 signal now below noise floor, still copyable
0158 CW followed by OM voice, sounds like Radio Zed ID but too noisy to hear clearly.
0200 Minnie the Moocher. Lots of QRN tonight from various sources.
0203 Signal back up to S3.
0213 off

Thanks for the show!

After over a year of futzing around with it, I think I finally have the DIY mag loop antenna fine tuned.  I'll take a photo of it to post in the antenna forum tomorrow if it doesn't met down in to a giant blob of copper and PVC.   ;D

Radio Zed 6925 USB SIO 1/2/2

0152: Kent Cigarettes jingle

Left coast to right coast on an oxidized 3' copper loop at 75 watts.  SIO 1/2/2?  I'll take it!   ;)

I still very faintly hear something here. If that's you on your loop antenna Radio Zed, I'm impressed. I have a DIY RX loop but always wanted to try making a TX loop for fun. I can hear the oldtime music and stuff coming in, but I'm just not able to identify it. Signal is coming up to S-3 now at 02:11

Great job Zed. I think you have that loop fine tuned. Had to use headphones but very readable in NY. Hope next time conditions are better. Thanks for being out there !
