Another NDB gone
« on: June 26, 2010, 1212 UTC »
It appears the NDB "SYW", 428khz (Cash) is no longer...

'Cash' was a nice install that always put out good signal.  Lots of T-storms near there a day ago so it may have taken a hit.  We'll see if it returns...

This is the second NDB gone in the last year that I am aware of.

edit.  make that three, "MII" 316khz is missing also.

I spoke with the folks in charge today regarding "MII".  Seems it has been off the air due to a failure and a decision has been made not to repair it.

NDBs, like the elderly, are left to die off naturally.  So sad...
