5985 - Myanmar Radio

5985   MYANMAR. Myanmar Radio - Phin Oo Lwin. At 1603 with a Burmese music program of light pops and only occasional softly spoken Burmese anncts. Rechecked the frequency at 1650 and still found it musicing away but with somewhat more traditional instrumental numbers. Heavy QRM from co-channel CRI-Beijing's Swahili service to EAf, but in the clear for three minutes between 1657 and 1700 when there's a break in the CRI transmissions. ID at 1658 then s/off at 1700 after national anthem. Feb 24.
