WEAK Radio
8/11/10
6930 USB
0155-0220z: Eclectic mix of rhythmic music with heavy bass line (Spanish?); C&W style parody song about the atom and nuclear bombs ("...Nagasaki, Alamogordo, Bikini..." in refrain) ; rambling monologue.  Some breaks in audio and occasional dead air.
0222z: Some other off-pitch audio mixed in now along with some spacey instrumental music, can't tell if same station or QRM from adjacent signal.
0233z: "...this is African..." and another voice "...I hate war..." the rest buried under local RFI.
0235z: Song with "Hear the marching, hear the drum, suppose they gave a war and nobody comes."
0237z: Baby crying.
0237z: WEAK Radio ID
0245z: WEAK ID
0306z: Still there with occasional clear peaks, but lots of fading to inaudible since around 0250z.
0345z: Sounds like Chris Cornell, not sure if solo, Soundgarden, Audioslave or other.
0347z: WEAK Radio ID
0430z: Off w/ WEAK ID, National Anthem followed by mellow instrumental and WEAK ID's after what sounded like some Patti Smith songs.  (Outdoors w/ portable, not taking notes.)

Same here, long rant about a contest between friends to determine who is more of a man, sounds like maybe King Missile?

0234z Something about an African tribal dance, and a war where no one came.
0236  "WEAK, WEAK Radio"

Big signal about S9+20 on peaks, great audio!

0234z Nice signal here on the 2' loop ...  signals peaking to S8 on dipole

0236z ID: "WEAK Radio"

0250z Prop condx considerably worse; fading to almost uncopyable at times now ...

0252z Signal picking up, up to S6 on dipole now and copyable on loop again

0341z Peaks to S7 on the loop ... have never seen peaks that high on the loop before (WR-G303e rcvr) ...

This has been one wild program WEAK! Thanks!
