WQLL 1370 Pattern change?
« on: August 18, 2017, 1620 UTC »
Hearing WQLL 1370 from Baltimore at high noon here in Haddon Heights, NJ. Wouldn't be surprised about this at night, but during the day? Their pattern is (supposed) to be aimed all at Baltimore and nothing even heard 30 miles north east of their blowtorch 50kW signal. I wonder if they are saving cash by using their nighttime pattern and power aimed towards Delaware with (I believe) 20-25kW.

Can anyone get some more info on this for me?

Danke schön

Have you emailed anyone at the station? That's what I would do.

Normal day reception signal here in Va Beach, but I see the day pattern generated on Radio locator doesn't include much north or east
Never had a problem hearing them.
A large percentage of the distance is salt water path . Occasionally it sounds like a local.
